Assembling Your Air Bed Matress

1. Unpack the box and lay out all components on the floor.

Contents should include the following:

  • Mattress Cover
  • Foam Rails
  • Air Inflator
  • Remote Control
  • Air Chamber Mattress(es)
(1 for single, 2 for dual)
  • Convoluted Comfort Foam Mat
  • Foundation Wood Base or coverlet (optional)

2. Place airbed mattress cover on a flat surface

Unzip the cover completely. Place the cover so that the ends with the exit holes on the underside are at the head of the airbed mattress. Position the foam rails. The end rails should be positioned first. The side with exit holes for the air hoses is the head rail; make sure this rail is at the head of the airbed.

3. Unfold the airbed mattress.

Place it flat inside the airbed mattress cover and foam rails with the hose on the bottom and facing the head of the bed. Run the air hose through the exit holes in the airbed mattress cover and foam rail.

4. Unpack the Air Inflator

Place it on the floor at the head of the airbed and plug into an electrical outlet. The inflator should be positioned so that these ports are facing away from the airbed mattress. Take the hose from the airbed mattress and connect it to the air outlet of the air inflator by pressing the tip of the hose into the air outlet port and turn the ring counter clockwise. This will ensure a solid connection. You can now slide the inflator underneath the airbed.

5. Inflate the airbed mattress.

Take the remote control and press one of the FIRM buttons to inflate one airbed mattress. The indicator light on the control will illuminate to indicate the inflator is activated. Repeat with the other airbed mattress by using the FIRM or SOFT buttons to adjust mattress firmness.

6. Place the convoluted comfort foam mat on top

Position the cover back over the airbed and zip it up. Use of a airbed mattress pad is recommended to help keep your cover clean.

Everyone is unique and will have a different comfort level on an airbed mattress. Your comfort level may also change from time to time. One advantage of sleeping on an airbed is that the firmness of your sleep surface can be adjusted to suit your own personal preference. To determine your comfort level we suggest following these tips:

  • After fully inflating your airbed, lie down on it for a few minutes to let your body adjust to the airbed.
  • Press the soft () button on your remote control. This will let air out and soften the feel of the airbed. If the airbed gets to feel too soft, you can firm it up by pressing the firm () button.
  • Eventually you will find the comfort level that is suited to you. Once you have found your initial comfort level, allow your body to adjust to your new sleep surface for a few days before making any major adjustments.

Remember that every time you make a major adjustment the comfort/firmness level, it can be like getting a whole new airbed and it will take a few days before your body will adjust to it.
