Airbed pumps

Airbed pumps are the greatest labor and breath-saver when it comes to air mattresses. Before pumps were commercially available, people would use a billows-type pump operated by hand or foot. Now you can buy battery-operated and AC120-volt compatible automatic air pumps to fill those air mattresses.

Airbed pumps are often sold in a package deal with the actual air mattress. Few manufacturers will try to sell you a mattress and a pump separately but it’s not unheard of. If you’ve never owned an air mattress or pump, look for this feature when shopping for your airbed.

It’s easy to understand why airbed pumps are sold with an air mattress. You couldn’t blow up an air mattress without a pump. There’s just not enough air in your lungs. A pump purchased separately can run anywhere from $25 on up.
